Microsoft today released a new update for its Microsoft Launcher Beta app for Android devices. The update pushes the beta app to new version 4.11 and is available for download in the Google Play Store.

The latest update comes with new features and improvements for the family accounts which the Redmond Giant introduced couple of months ago for Android users.

The improvements for the family accounts now give option to parents to show and hide kids in the family card. This leaves the parents to keep the Family card clean if they are using more than one Family card.

Reading news articles in Microsoft Edge browser on Android devices has now got some improvements with the latest update to the Microsoft Launcher.

The update also includes Visual Search which helps users to search the web using their phone’s camera. You will now find a new camera icon in the search bar to easily launch the Visual search.

Microsoft which released its Digital Assistant Cortana on Android devices has also pushed out some new features to the Digital Assistant in the latest Launcher update. The latest update brings support for calling which allows Cortana to send text and reply to any further messages.

There are also some UI improvements made to the welcome, setting page along with the widgets and context menu. The update also introduces support for removing screens in overview mode.

The latest features are currently pushed out to the Launcher Beta App and are expected to be made available to all Microsoft Launcher users very soon after successful testing.
