Google is currently rolling out the second developer preview of Android P. The latest developer preview also known as  Android P Beta 2 is currently being made available for the Nokia 7 Plus smartphone by HMD Global.

HMD Global is the company authorized to use the Nokia brand to sell smartphones globally. Nokia 7 Plus is the first device which has been given access for the Android P developer preview.

The developer preview is currently available for the Nokia 7 Plus and can be flashed onto the device. The developer preview program lets developers test their latest software on the smartphone in order to optimize apps which could run smoothly after installing the latest software update from Android.

The developer preview is basically a half-baked software and if any of our users are having a Nokia 7 Plus smartphone which is being used as their primary device, then it is advised to not install the preview version of the software on their devices.

The developer preview of Android P comes with minimal features since its an early version of next Android software update.

For information to our users, we would like to inform them that the second beta of Android P comes with the Android security patch level to June 5, 2018.

The preview version of Android P is currently rolling out via an OTA update only for users who have enrolled themselves in the Beta program. The update is very slow and should be available for all Beta users in the coming days or weeks.

If you don’t want to wait to get the update via OTA, then you also have the option to download the Beta version manually from Nokia’s Developer portal.

The phone is priced at Rs 25,999 in India, available online on Amazon India and comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. The devices are boosted with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage with Android 8.1 or Oreo pre-installed.
